    “Tell us then, what is your opinion? Is it right to pay the imperial tax to Caesar or not?”

    But Jesus, knowing their evil intent, said, “You hypocrites, why are you trying to trap me? Show me the coin used for paying the tax.”

    They brought him a denarius, and he asked them, “Whose image is this? And whose inscription?”

    “Caesar’s,” they replied.

    Then he said to them, “So give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.”

    When they heard this, they were amazed. So they left him and went away.”
    ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭22:17-22‬ ‭

    * TTW notes—
    Caesar’s image was printed on the coin.
    Jesus said, “So give to Caesar what is Caesar’s and give to God what is God’s.”

    Kris said to think about this… what is God’s image printed on?

    “So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.”
    Genesis 1:27

    We are what God has stamped his image on!! He wants us to give him back ourselves. ❤️ I have never seen this meaning before!

    On TTW, they said something very interesting about the Passover meal. I just finished listening to the book “The Mysteries of the Messiah” by Rabi Jason Sobel. He confirmed that there are many parts of the Passover meal that point directly to Jesus.

    During a traditional Passover Seder, there are 3 pieces of matzah used in the meal. The middle piece is broken in two and taken away, wrapped in a line cloth and hidden!! It is called the afikomen and is the last thing eaten in the meal. The children are sent to find the afikomen and when they find it and bring it back, they receive a reward or small prize.

    On TTW, the Kris and Jonathan discuss the symbolism. The 2nd piece of bread— the second person of the Trinity! He is the Bread of Life! His body was broken. He was wrapped in linen and hidden for a time in the tomb! When we find him, we receive the greatest reward!

    This little game played with the Jewish children is packed with meaning, but most of them don’t see it. 😢
